US Angling Disabled Fishing Team
Pre-Registration Information
The members of the first US Angling Fishing Team will be selected from those athletes that attend the Fall and Spring training sessions (Spring date TBD).
Fall Training Dates: November 5-6, 2016

For travel plans:
Airport: RDU (Raleigh Durham International airport)
Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC Area (several fishing locations are being determined at this time but all are near RDU), If driving consider RDU your travel point.
Dates/Times
Saturday, November 5th- 12 Noon-Check in & afternoon sessions
Sunday November 6th - Morning and afternoon sessions (afternoon optional)
Fee: A small, nominal registration fee will charged to include bait and venue. Fee will be determined after assessing the amount of people who register. The coaching/training is free.
Travel/accommodation Expenses: Athletes are on their own for travel/accommodation expenses. Once the team is selected, sponsorships will be obtained. For those who are veterans, some airlines have “hero miles” available so you may want to contact airlines and inquire.
Athletes must pre-register and then register (detailed application forthcoming)

Operation Homeland Honor is partnering with US Angling to organize the very first US Angling Disability Fishing Team.
We are currently looking for athletes and have a few spots open. Wheel chair, amputee, limb disability, blind, or other physical injury. Please contact us through our contact page if you are interested. This is a great chance to be a part of history as a member of the very first US Angling Disability fishing team.
About the Coach:
Tony Forte
Coach Tony Forte is the Vice President of the United States Angling Confederation- US Angling, a 501c3 charitable organization, is responsible for attracting new anglers to sport fishing, training and development of top USA angler prospects, and logistical support of USA national fishing teams that compete in World Championship fishing events. This nonprofit effectively networks with other non-profits and government agencies. Successful MOU's were drafted with the U.S Fishing and Wildlife Service, and Boy Scouts of America. Tony is designated a Certified Angling Instructor and is certified to conduct youth fishing clinics and events with Boy Scouts of America. He has achieved competence in a variety of fishing techniques (Fly, Float, Lure, and Bottom Fishing).

2004 U.S. Open Matchfishing Champion, 2011 Silver Medal, 2012 Bronze Medal
2008 Can/Am International Champion, 2006 Silver Medal, 2005-Bronze Medal
2009 U.S. Bankfishing Champion & 2009 Carp Tournament of Champions- Winner
2011 U.S National Team Member- Sportfishing World Championships Ostellato, Italy
2015 to Present- Coaching U.S. Disabled Fishing Team
